Sung-Tae Hong(Korean Academy of Medical Sciences)

Journal publication is an important activity of scholarly organizations. The Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, which is a federation of medical societies in Korea, began to publish an English journal, Journal of Korean Medical Sciences (JKMS) since 1986. JKMS is indexed in MEDLINE, SCI in Web of Science, and Scopus, and its editor is a member of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors from 2016. In 2018, JKMS is publishing its volume 33 weekly, every Monday by Open Access. The scope of JKMS is medicine in general that covers whole disciplines of medicine. In order to survive among hundreds of big journals, JKMS publishes various types of articles and reading materials with best online visibility and networking following global standard editing and publishing guidelines.
